Description
Muse® Proxy is a server proxy solution that provides a simple way for libraries to manage access to web-based licensed databases to their remote users. Available for servers running Oracle Java Virtual Machine, as opposed to classical proxies, Muse Proxy works by the user pointing his browser at an on campus URL of the proxy server that fetches the pages from the remote service provider, and rewrites any URLs in the resources to point them back via the proxy.
Muse® Proxy has many features and facades from being a powerful URL rewriting server, dynamically changing URLs in the web pages of database providers to reflect the Muse Proxy directing the end users to the Muse Proxy as they visit links on those web pages, to managing multiple IP(s) authentication and replicating remote sessions to local domains or standard Proxy.
